Lindsay Carder
Attorney
Lindsay’s appreciation for the outdoors began in childhood during summer camping trips and family visits to national parks, experiences that ultimately inspired her to pursue a legal career in renewable energy.
Lindsay guides renewable energy developers and other clients through the full lifecycle of renewable energy project development, providing strategic counsel from project inception through financing and sale. Her real estate practice includes managing due diligence, drafting and negotiating site control agreements, performing title and survey review, and supporting project financing to help projects advance within desired timelines. Lindsay also draws on a strong background in environmental regulation to help clients navigate the complex regulatory landscape surrounding renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining Clean Energy Counsel, Lindsay was an associate at a national firm, specializing in utility-scale renewable energy real estate development and financing transactions. Earlier in her career, Lindsay was an environmental attorney with the Denver City Attorney’s Office, where she advised clients on environmental compliance and the cleanup of contaminated properties. During her time at the City of Denver, she also represented clients in community solar transactions, which cultivated her passion for the innovative and rapidly evolving renewable energy industry.
Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys cooking, visiting local farmers’ markets, and spending her free time attending live electronic music shows, reading, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with her dogs Mila and Penny.
