Simon Engler

Simon advises clients on transactions in the renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on the development of renewable energy projects.
Before joining Clean Energy Counsel, Simon was a policy advisor for international climate finance in Germany's foreign ministry, the Federal Foreign Office, where he focused on policies to support investment in the energy transition in low- and middle-income countries. Simon began working in energy and climate in 2018, as a researcher and writer at Climate Central, a climate science and communications organization.
Simon is fluent in German.
