Max Learner
Attorney
Max has been passionate about engaging in the climate transition since he was young and focused his higher education on related subjects, studying physics at the University of Pennsylvania and concentrating in energy and clean technology law at Berkeley Law. While at law school, Max co-founded and led Clean Energy Leaders in Law, a pro bono organization supporting low-income and community solar development.
In his practice, Max has represented a range of clients, from early-stage climate tech startups to well-established clean energy developers, on a range of matters, from forming a company and advising it through its first preferred equity financing to drafting transaction and ancillary documents for tax equity financings, asset-backed securitizations, and project acquisitions.
Max is an early riser and enjoys taking his poodle, Carl, on long walks through the park in his home city of San Francisco. Max is passionate about the sciences and loves to cook, play chess, read novels, and watch movies.
