Todd has a wealth of experience both as in-house and outside counsel, most of which has been in the renewable energy industry. He spent several years working as a senior attorney for Southern California Edison focused on supporting its energy procurement activities. He left the utility side and joined SunEdison as Assistant General Counsel focused on supporting its C&I and energy storage business units. Most recently prior to CEC, Todd was General Counsel at ForeFront Power.
With experience on both the buyer’s side and the developer’s side, Todd has a deep understanding of the drivers of all parties in these complex transactions, and is able to help his clients achieve a successful business solution. His expertise includes:
Drafting and negotiating effective contracts, including power purchase and similar procurement agreements, EPC agreements, equipment supply and services agreements, interconnection agreements, land option and lease agreements, and others
Drafting RFP documents and RFP proposals
Creating community solar platforms
Mergers and acquisitions of projects and companies
Todd has worked on projects all over the country involving wind, solar, biogas, hydroelectric, and energy storage, from 100kWs to over 500 MWs. He understands that every project has many things that are standard, and always something unique, and focuses on effective and efficient solutions to help clients achieve success.
