As a resident of the Pacific Northwest, Kristen is passionate about preserving our natural environment and working on projects that will spearhead the energy transition. She has experience representing renewable energy developers and investors, all of whom are working toward a sustainable future.
Kristen advises clients on a broad range of issues related to renewable energy utility-scale, C&I, and distributed resource project development via the negotiation of power purchase agreements and various offtake arrangements (i.e., energy, capacity, and context-specific dispatch parameters), EPC and O&M agreements, renewable energy certificate purchase and sale agreements, virtual power purchase agreements and various hedging arrangements, energy services agreements, equipment supply and services agreements, build-transfer agreements, and electric vehicle charging and attendant master services agreements. Over the past several years, Kristen has assisted clients in developing several gigawatts of utility-scale, C&I, and distributed resource solar, wind, and storage projects throughout the United States.
Prior to joining Clean Energy Counsel, Kristen practiced renewable energy project development at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. and K&L Gates LLP. Preceding law and business school, Kristen worked for the office of Senator Mary Landrieu (D – LA) and as an energy consultant in Tianjin, China. As a result of having earned her M.B.A., Kristen prioritizes clients’ strategic and business considerations in the negotiation of agreements in order to both manage risk and seamlessly achieve commercial objectives.
Residing between the Olympics and the Cascades, Kristen spends her free time hiking, camping, reading, and enjoying fine dining and great music in the company of family and friends within in the scenic beauty of the Pacific Northwest

Counsel to GlidePath Energy Solutions, LLC ("GlidePath") in the purchase from FlexGen of battery energy storage systems and attendant services. The batteries will comprise a 130 MWh project in Gatesville, Texas (the "Project"). Simultaneous with this negotiation, served as counsel to GlidePath in the negotiation on an engineering, procurement, and construction agreement with Saber Power Services, LLC with respect to the Project.
Negotiate on behalf of Intersect Power a portfolio of ISDA schedules, credit support annexes, and renewable energy certificate annexes across from various independent power producer and Fortune 50 and 100 counter parties. These transactions serve as hedges against the price risk attendant to physical power purchases and sales for which Intersect Power is responsible under a different division of its business.
Torus is a battery storage company that has created a "mechanical" or "kinetic" battery that it pairs with its lithium-ion battery to improve and extend the life of the lithium-ion battery. This technology was named one of the best of 2024 by Time Magazine. CEC serves as counsel to Torus on all aspects of the development side and a substantial portion of the debt financing side of its business. Negotiated on behalf of Torus purchase and sale, equipment lease, capacity monetization, and managed services form agreements utilized for the acquisition of its core customer base.
