Ian Faucher
Attorney

Ian helps renewable energy clients navigate development, financing, regulatory, and strategic challenges. He advises developers, purchasers, and investors across all stages of the project lifecycle, including offtake and construction agreements, debt and equity financings, acquisitions and sales, and energy regulatory matters. He has worked on a broad range of technologies, from utility-scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects to early-stage geothermal and carbon capture ventures.

Ian is a business-oriented advisor with experience spanning the legal, policy, and technical aspects of the energy transition. After earning his undergraduate degree in engineering, he began his career as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he helped companies navigate their sustainability goals. Before joining Clean Energy Counsel, Ian focused on renewable energy project development at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He has also served as a law clerk at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the California Public Utilities Commission. 

Ian is an optimist who is committed to helping his clients build a better future. He enjoys spending his off hours with his wife and son on a trail run, in the mountains, or at a minor league baseball game.
