Emily Hager
Attorney

Growing up in central North Carolina, located between the state coastline and the Appalachian Mountains, Emily developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and importance of our natural environment. She pursued her passion for science at NC State University, graduating with degrees in Environmental Sciences and Political Science. During her time at NC State, Emily interned at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, where she developed programs designed to make science more understandable and accessible to people in all walks of life.

Following her undergraduate degree, Emily moved to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend one of the top-ranked environmental law programs in the country: Tulane Law School. While in law school, Emily worked as a student attorney in the Environmental Law Clinic, representing clients in environmental litigation. She also published an article with the Tulane Maritime Law Journal concerning the use of liquefied natural gas as fuel for vessels. In addition to her J.D., Emily obtained a Certificate in Environmental Law from Tulane.

Emily has experience working as in-house counsel with several renewable energy development companies. Her work has primarily focused on solar project management, including lease creation and review, LLC formation, and project acquisitions. In her spare time, Emily enjoys trying new restaurants, reading, soccer, and embroidery.
