Christina Bonanni
Counsel

Christina Bonanni grew up on a barrier island, where she developed an early awareness of—and commitment to—environmental protection. Now based in Washington, D.C., she focuses her practice on environmental, energy, renewable, and natural resources law. Christina advises clients on navigating complex state and federal regulatory frameworks, including the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, and other major environmental statutes, to support regulatory compliance, permitting, and project development.

Christina works with clients across the energy and environmental spectrum, helping assess risk, conduct due diligence, and secure environmental insurance in connection with the development, acquisition, sale, and financing of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. She also provides strategic counsel in environmental emergencies, coordinating timely regulatory reporting, cleanup, and remediation efforts.

Christina’s commitment to the field extends beyond client work — she serves on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Bar Association of Washington, D.C. and regularly speaks on environmental and energy law topics. She earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a Master in Environmental Science from American University, and she previously worked as an Environmental Health Scientist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

In her off hours, Christina can be found running local routes, practicing yoga, or spending time in the outdoors.
