Paul Lacourciere is an accomplished lawyer, seasoned veteran of the energy industry, and former CEO of a biofuel company. His practice encompasses a wide array of corporate, transactional and regulatory advice with a special focus on the energy industry.
Paul has represented some of the largest companies in the world on issues affecting their energy interests as well as working with mid-sized and start-up companies as their business and energy issues evolve. His academic background in environmental resources engineering also brings substantial technical knowledge to his practice giving him a unique perspective on the inter-relation between legal and technical issues. His combination of skills provides clients with exceptional representation.
A core part of Paul’s practice involves advising clients on state, federal and local energy regulatory matters, structuring transactions within the various regulatory frameworks and advocating for clients before state regulators. He has worked on a wide range of regulatory matters including federal and state electricity regulations, renewable portfolio standards, destruction of hazardous materials in waste to energy facilities, renewable transportation fuels and greenhouse gas emissions.
Paul sees an opportunity for clients to restructure their relationships with BigLaw and move to a more efficient legal services model. He builds long-term relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and culture, and tailors both the representation and the billing practices to meet the client’s individual needs. The firm’s commitment to our clients, efficient structure and overall flexibility creates the opportunity for clients to be served in ways that BigLaw cannot accommodate.
